The SeaDream was launched by Atle Brunestad, the Norwegian enterpreneur and founder of Seabourn, and Larry Pimentel, former Cunard and Seabourn CEO. SeaDream offers seven-day charters and cruises using two Sea Goddess yachts that it purchased from Cunard in 2001. The ships sail Mediterranean and the Caribbean in tandem. They offer seven-day cruises departing from Miami, St. Thomas, Nice, Rome and Barcelona. They began sailing of St. Thomas and Barbados out of Miami in January, then moved to Nice and Rome in May, and return to Caribbean in late October.
SeaDream is for the luxury clients who want a cruise experience that mirrors the casual ambiance of private yachts. In this laid-back atmosphere, everything is available and on a very open schedule. It is for the kind of person who wants their private yacht, but not a hassle of maintenance.
Renovations have now completed on both ships. SeaDream II, with 55 cabins and a passenger capacity of 110, was refurbished in January 2002. It now features entirely new top deck, complete with outdoor bar and a series of sunbeds near the stern. The cabin area for the captain and officers, located under the bridge, has been turned into an expanded spa, complete with Thalasso Therapy tub, and a fitness center. All cabins have been renovated with state of the art electronics, including flat-screen TV's, DVD and CD players. SeaDream I completed an identical refurbuishment in May. Both ships have a full complement of jet skis, zodiac boats, sailboats, and hydra- and foot pedaled kayaks. The captain and crew develop their own shore excursions for guests, leading groups on snorkeling expeditions, bicycling tours and even bar hops.
Lately, SeaDream formed a partnership with a baloon company and under agreement, SeaDream Passengers will be able to book baloon tours in Tuscany, Burgundy and Loire Valley either before or after their seven day sailings. Separately, SeaDream cut a deal with Air France for trans-Atlantic air on Concorde.

And dining with SeaDream is superb whether you are in our main Dining Salon or up on deck in our Topside Restaurant. In short, the SeaDream twins offer guests the ultimate in the elegant, but, oh so casual yachting lifestyle.
