Nature has treated us with 20 kilometers (13 miles) of white sand beaches, with
the turquoise, crystal clear water of the Caribbean, and with abundant tropical
vegetation. In this wonderful environment we offer you a paradise of relaxation
and tranquility where you can get away from it all and leave the pressures of
everyday life behind.
Just imagine relaxing in your hammock on your veranda, finally reading the book
you've always wanted to read. Or lying on the beach, in the shade of a "palapa",
listening to the sound of the ocean and finding yourself in another world. Or
strolling through our tropical gardens and discovering a new plant or flower
every day..

kilometers (30 miles) south of Cancun International Airport the hotel is nestled
amidst a natural environment of beautiful white sand beaches and lush tropical
gardens. Conveniently located about 1 kilometers or ½ mile from the center of
"Playa", Las Palapas represents the best of both worlds - the
excitement of Playa del Carmen and the beauty and serenity of its beaches.
Archeological sites like Tulúm, Cobá and Chichén Itzá can easily be reached
from the hotel, as well as the nature parks Xcaret, Xel-Ha and Tres Rios. Also,
there is a regular ferry service from Playa del Carmen to the island Cozumel.
Tranquility, the emerald green waters of the Mexican Caribbean, long stretches
of white sand beaches, and the tropical atmosphere of our bungalow resort will
make your vacation dreams come true!
Beachfront
7 beachfront bungalows with thatched roofs, situated directly on the white sand
beach. Equipped with 2 queen size beds, ceiling fan, bathroom with shower and
private veranda with hammocks and armchairs.
Standard
48 standard rooms in one or two storey bungalows, all with lovely views of our
garden. The rooms in the one storey bungalows as well as the upper floor rooms
of the two storey buildings have thatched roofs. Equipment and size of the
standard rooms are equivalent to the beachfront rooms.
Some of the rooms have air conditioning.
Garden Deluxe
20 garden deluxe rooms in one or two storey bungalows, located in a natural
tropical environment in the most quiet part of the hotel. These rooms have an
additional sitting area with sofa bed and are considerably larger than the
beachfront and standard rooms. The rooms in the one storey bungalows as well as
the upper floor rooms of the two storey buildings have thatched roofs.
In order to provide for you an atmosphere of total peace and tranquility, our rooms have not been equipped with telephones or TV's. Some rooms have air conditioning and mini bar (available on request). We call our rooms "cabañas".
Of course you will spend much time on our pristine white sand beach and enjoy the breeze, the sun and the crystal clear waters of the Mexican Caribbean. But Las Palapas offers a lot more!

Restaurant
Acuario
In our main restaurant you start your day with a rich breakfast from our buffet.
Dinner is a four course meal with a selection of two Mexican or International
dishes. Three times a week dinner is served buffet style with specialties from
the Mayan, the Caribbean and Mexican kitchens, always accompanied by live music.
On Wednesdays, the buffet is served on the beach (weather permitting). And on
Saturdays, we serve our most popular buffet: The Fiesta Mexicana, accompanied -
of course - by a Mariachi band.
Casa Club
Lunch is served in our "Casa Club", the Club House. On the menu
there are delicious international and Mexican dishes and snacks, and the little
one can choose from the kid's menu. The bar at "Casa Club" serves
exotic cocktails, cold beers and non-alcoholic beverages until midnight. A wide
range of board games, billiards, table tennis and a library are provided for you
to use.
Beach
Bar
Our beach bar is the place where people meet during the day to enjoy a drink
under the swaying palm trees. Order your favorite drink, or let our staff
surprise you with their creations! You may also have your lunch at the beach bar
while enjoying the wonderful view of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
