JEWISH HERITAGE BENELUX TOUR
This is a private tour with driver/guide.
We will provide accommodations according client's budget.
DAY 1 AMSTERDAM
Airport pickup – check in luggage at your hotel – today we shall drive though
the country-side, passing by dikes, along canals and a windmill – visit a cheese
farm on the way – stop for lunch at the picturesque Fisherman’s village of
Volendam and Edam, well known for its cheese.
Back to your hotel, free time at leisure.
DAY 2 AMSTERDAM
City Tour including a visit to the Anne Frank House, the Portuguese Synagogue,
enjoy a kosher lunch at the Jewish Historic Museum, before entering the Museum,
short walking tour through the former Jewish quarter of Amsterdam.
Time for a Canal Cruise. Back to your hotel in Amsterdam
DAY 3 AMSTERDAM
We have two suggestions:
Suggestion 1: All day City tour of Amsterdam passing by the Dam Square, The
Royal Palace, the Mint Tower, the Flower market etc. visit the Rijks Museum, a
Wooden-shoe maker and after lunch the Van Gogh Museum and eventually a walking
tour through the Red Light District. Back to your hotel in Amsterdam
Suggestion 2: Today we have a scenic drive to GOUDA – a walking tour – DELFT –
visit to the famous “ Royal Delft Pottery Factory” lunch and a walking tour in
Delft then continue to the Hague – pass by the Royal Palace, International Court
of Justice, Parliament Houses etc. Back to your hotel in Amsterdam
DAY 4 KINDERDIJK WINDMILLS & ANTWERP (Belgium)
Depart Amsterdam via the windmill village of Kinderdijk – to Antwerp/Belgium.
Check in to your hotel in Antwerp, time for lunch and a visit to “Diamond Land”,
see how they cut diamonds. Visit a Synagogue (depending on opening hours) and
have a walking tour of Antwerp.
DAY 5 BREENDONK – TEMSE – BRUGGE (Belgium)
Today we leave for Breendonk to visit the Concentration Camp. Continue to Temse
for lunch, then drive to marvellous Brugge. Check into hotel, then start a nice
walking tour through beautiful Brugge with your guide-chauffeur.
DAY 6 All Day BRUGGE at Leisure where you can take a baot-ride (that’s a must)
shop for, shop for Lace, Chocolate or Tapestry. They also have a beautiful art
Gallery, visit the Memling Museum etc. Your guide-chauffeur will help you.
DAY 7 GHENT (Belgium)
Today we shall drive to gothic Ghent. Check into your hotel, then have a walking
tour with your guide-chauffeur. The rest of the day free at leisure. A boat tour
in Ghent is a must!
DAY 8 BRUSSELS (Belgium)
Today we shall leave to Brussels. City tour by van at the outskirts of Brussels,
including the Atomium, the Royal Palaces etc. Check into your hotel and then
have a walking tour of Brussels with your guide-chauffeur.
DAY 9 DINANT (Belgium)– LUXEMBOURG
Today we drive to Luxembourg by stopping at Dinant for lunch (famous for its
Citadelle. Check into your hotel in Luxembourg. Short orientation tour with your
guide-chauffeur.
DAY 10 LUXEMBOURG CITY
Enjoy a walking tour with your guide-chauffeur in Luxembourg City, visit its
Synagogue and the Memorial-Museum of Deportation ( only open on Thursdays from
14.00 to 17.30 hrs – not during feast days)The rest of the day free time at
leisure.
DAY 11 TRIER ( Germany)- MAASTRICHT (Netherlands)
On our way to Maasticht we shall stop at Trier – the oldest Roman city which is
still intact. We can admire a beautiful Old Roman Gate called “The Porta
Nigra”Trier is a typical German town with typical halftimbered houses. Continue
to Maastricht – the most southern city in the Netherlands. Check into your
hotel, then have a walk on the city’s Ramparts, with your chauffeur-guide it’s a
very picturesque walk!
Day 12 THORN - AMSTERDAM
On the way back to Amsterdam, we shall stop at the picturesque white village of
Thorn, continue to Amsterdam
