This windmill, one of three silhouetted on the skyline about 100 metres apart, has wonderful views. It is only 6 km to the east of the beautiful beaches of Apulia and about 10 km from the excellent golf course at Estela. Barqueiros, which is 2 km away, has a minimarket and a café. The resort of Póvoa de Varzim is only a little further down the coast; it has a good selection of shops, a good casino and many restaurants. Barcelos with its impressive weekly fair on Thursdays is only 15 minutes drive. Braga and Porto are 30 minutes away. Tennis 5 km, golf 10km (Estela Golf) or 12 km (Golf Barca do Lago), horse riding 5 kmVarzim.
