The restoration and renovation of the old fisherman`s houses in the Ria Formosa Natural Park have resulted in the quite beautiful and quite unique Vila Gale Albacora. Nestled in the eastern corner of The Algarve yet only 20 minutes from Faro Airport and only 5 minutes from the town of Tavira, where guests will find a fine selection of bars, shops and restaurants. The hotel is built around the swimming pool, which is the centrepiece of the hotels gardens and the perfect place to soak up that Portuguese sunshine, or maybe take a trip on the hotel boat for the two minute trip to the beach on the island opposite. Access to the areas golf courses is also superb with the new and highly acclaimed courses of Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima just 15 minutes away and Benamor just 10 minutes.
It is located close to the sea and the lagoon. Clients have direct access to the “river beach” and the hotel has shuttle service (free of charge) that takes the clients to Tavira´s island (best beach around).
Tavira is one of the most
interesting villages in Algarve. Is has a medieval castle, there’s a river that
crosses the village, most of the constructions are typical architecture.
