Day 1: Arrive in
Copenhagen
Russia cruise tour begins at 6:00 p.m. at your
Copenhagen hotel. Your airport transfer is included in the tour. Meet
fellow travel companions at the welcome reception and dinner in your center-city
hotel.

Day 2: Mermaids in
Copenhagen
On the city sightseeing tour, see the Danish crown jewels at Rosenborg Palace,
built in Dutch Renaissance style. Visit colorful Nyhavn, and sees the Little
Mermaid statue commemorating Hans Christian Andersen’s book. Your afternoon and
evening are free to explore the city.

• Day 3: Viking ships
Take a walking tour of Roskilde, Denmark’s religious, cultural, and political
center from the Viking times through the Middle Ages. Then visit the Viking Ship

1960s. Board your ship to launch your Russia cruise.

Gotland Island
Explore the island of Gotland, Sweden. Shore excursions include a choice of a
walking tour of the fortified medieval town of Visby, a UNESCO World Heritage

villages, farms, and meadows.

Discover the walled city of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, one of Europe’s
best-preserved medieval cities. Stroll through narrow cobblestone streets and

13th-century Toompea Castle, Estonia’s traditional seat of power. Enjoy a
medieval feast at lunch with time to wander afterwards.

Petersburg
Your Russia cruise arrives in the glorious city of St. Petersburg, the cultural
capital of Russia. A guided tour of city sights includes the imposing Peter and
Paul Fortress, built in the 18th century as the core of Peter the Great’s new
capital. Inside the fortress, Peter and Paul Cathedral, with its tall golden
spire, contains the tombs of all the Russian czars.

& the Russian Ballet
In St. Petersburg, take advantage of early visits to the city’s most revered
sights to avoid crowds. Tour Catherine the Great’s beloved Palace in Pushkin,
with its blue-and-white ornamental façade and lavish interior. In the evening,
attend the Russian ballet.

Hermitage Museum
Take an early morning private guided tour of The State Hermitage Museum, housing
one of the largest collections of art and artifacts in the world, before the
crowds arrive. Displays include prehistoric cultures, classical antiquities,
Western European art, and golden treasures. Pursue your own interests in the
afternoon, and then set sail once again for the Baltic Sea.

Sea
See scenic views of Finland’s coast from your balconied suite or one of the

Internet Cafe. Arrive early evening in Stockholm, Sweden’s capital.

Day 10: All about
Stockholm
Disembark Radisson Voyager in Stockholm, which is strategically positioned on 14
islands. Sightseeing includes City Hall, where Nobel Prize festivities take
place, and a walking tour along the cobbled streets of medieval Gamla Stan, or
Old Town. Spend the remainder of the day as you please.

Day 11: Canal cruise,
ancient ships
Take a cruise through Stockholm’s canals to the Vasa Museum, featuring the
impressive Vasa, an ornate royal warship that sank in the harbor following its
launch in 1628 and was raised in 1961. Enjoy a free afternoon, and share trip
impressions at the evening farewell dinner.

Cruise prices are per person in U.S. dollars.
All accommodations, motor coach and cruise ship transportation, sightseeing,
admissions, shore excursions and services of Tauck Directors, ship crew and
drivers are included.
Hotel Accommodations – Tauck’s price
includes all hotel accommodations with private baths. The Tauck standard is to
provide the best available hotels without sacrificing value. Although the
quality of accommodations may differ from place to place, this standard remains
uncompromised. Two-bedded rooms are reserved in most hotels. Triples are
two-bedded rooms plus a rollaway cot and are not recommended for comfort.
Meals – Most meals are included as
specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner.
Gratuities Included – All appropriate
gratuities for bellmen, luggage handling, doormen, dining room servers, local
guides and cruise ship staff are included
Tauck Director – Each cruise is conducted
by a Tauck Director who remains with the group throughout the duration of the
cruise. Your Tauck Director is a professional, fully-trained employee of Tauck.
No Options Sold – With the exception of
select options detailed in the itinerary, Tauck’s price includes entertainment,
special dinners, sightseeing and most activities. Tauck Directors may assist
with information on other free-time activities, based on honest opinion, but
will not sell you any “extras.” This means better value and a more relaxed,
pleasant experience for you.
Airfare to the cruise departure point and from
the cruise ending point is not included. Airfare may be purchased from
Tauck for travel originating in the United States.
Hotel Rooms Before & After Cruises – Due
to time schedules and the possibility of flight delays, many guests prefer to
make hotel arrangements for the night preceding their cruise. As a service,
Tauck will make reservations before or after your cruise. Rooms are reserved on
a space-available basis and must be booked through Tauck to qualify for Tauck’s
special rates. These hotel room charges will be added to the cruise cost. Note:
Airport transfers are not included for these bookings. To arrange additional
nights in Copenhagen or Stockholm, please discuss at the time of booking.
Tauck Director Gratuities – The customary
gratuity to the Tauck Director is not included. Such gratuities should be
extended on a voluntary, individual basis and not as a group.
Personal Expenses such as phone calls,
room service, alcoholic and bar beverages, laundry, airline excess luggage
charges, visa fees, vaccinations, airport taxes and other optional incidental
extras are not included and may be significant.
Luggage Responsibility – Although every
effort is made to handle guests’ luggage carefully, we cannot be responsible,
assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage to luggage and personal
effects due to breakage, theft, or fair wear and tear through hotel, airline and
group carrier handling. It is important for your own self-interest and
protection that you make certain you have adequate insurance to cover these
