Itinerary
Days 1-2 - Fly to Ajaccio,
Corsica.
Day 3 - After a wine tasting,
hike to Porto on a trail parallel with the sea. Drive to
Evisa.
Day 4 - Walk through a chestnut
forest to an old chestnut mill.
Day 5 - Hike in the wild Golu
valley past a magnificent cascading waterfall. Drive to Corte.
Day 6 - Visit Corte, the island's
old capital, then walk in the Restonica Gorge, noted for its
exceptional wild beauty.
Day 7 - Drive to Bonifacio,
an ancient town located on cliffs overlooking the sea.
Day 8 - Walk through shallow
clear water to the tiny island of Piana. Travel by
private sailboat along Sardinia's Lavezzi and Cavallo Islands,
with stops to swim and watch for dolphins. Continue to La
Maddalena.
Day 9 - Visit the tiny isles of
La Maddalena National Park by sailboat.
Day 10 - Ferry to mainland
Sardinia, explore the hilltop town of Tempio, transfer to
Olbia.
Day 11 - Fly home.
