SICILY DAY TRIP - POZZALLO, MOUNT ETNA & TAORMINA - THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS FULL DAY TOUR WITHOUT LUNCH - (Weather permitting) Mt. Etna: The largest and most active volcano in Europe. The climb to the crater takes us through picturesque villages and an ever-changing landscape. The lower slopes of the volcano are extremely fertile with groves of oranges, lemons and other Mediterranean flora and of course vines which produce Sicily's best wines. We go through forests of chestnut trees, which gradually give way to oak, beech, birch and pine. Modica: This proud, prosperous and ancient city is one of Sicily's baroque gems. The main street, "Il Corso", is a typical Italian meeting place as any you can hope to visit, with shops, cafes and majestic buildings. San Giorgio is an impressive monument, redesigned after the Earthquake of 1693, surrounded by a flight of 250 steps to further enhance the scenic beauty of its fine facade Arrival at Pozzallo - a typical Sicilian fishing village. Met by fully air-conditioned luxury coaches, accompanied by guides. Excursion starts by crossing the second and third highest bridges in Europe, which pass over the Baroque town of Modica. Then onto the Iblei Mountain Range with a view of the quaint villages among canyons. Time for refreshments and photos. Drive up to Sylvester Craters of Mt. Etna having time for lunch (not included in the price) and souvenir shopping. Depart Mt. Etna for the Baroque town of Modica. Free time in the city centre. Departure Modica for Pozzallo, with a running commentary by the guide. Departure by High Speed Catamaran at 18:30hrs for Malta.
HARBOUR CRIUSE - .....Malta's Gallant History
A detailed commentary will unfold the history of Valletta and the Three Cities connected with two Great Sieges of 1565 and 1942, as well as all the other places of interest including the historical forts, battlements and creeks which can only be admired from the sea. Captain Morgan's Harbour Cruise is renowned for its detailed commentary. We cruise into every creek showing you the closest possible views. A fully stocked bar and toilet facilities are available on board.

ON BOARD THE EXCLUSIVE FERNANDES

The
Fernandes is a beautiful 87 foot L.O.A. Schooner Rigged Turkish Gullet
with a large forward deck covered stern deck and a large saloon. The
Fernandes departs from the Sliema Marina and cruises North westwards
towards Gozo. We drop anchor in secluded bays in Gozo at approximately
11.15 a.m. En-route one sees the panoramic cliffs, coves and inlets. The
rest of the morning is spent swimming, snorkeling or just sunbathing and
relaxing on the large decks, while our stewards prepare a delicious
Buffet. After lunch we sail towards Comino, where we drop anchor in the
beautiful Blue Lagoon and spend the rest of the afternoon swimming in
the magical crystal clear water of the lagoon. Fresh Fruit is served
before we leave the Blue lagoon. Masks and Snorkels are available on
board Free of Charge. The latest addition to the fleet is the elegant Fernades II, a beautiful 38 metre L.O.A. two masted gaft rigged Turkish Gullet with a large forward deck and a large saloon. |

The 'Charlotte Louise', Captain Morgan's fully rigged square sail gaff rigged schooner, departs from Bugibba daily at 10.00 a.m. You spend a relaxing day at sea cruising and sailing to the most scenic bays in Malta, Gozo and Comino. We do not have a fixed programme, we sail according to the prevailing weather conditions. We stop for swimming/snorkelling in different bays and also visit the famous Blue Lagoon in Comino (weather permitting). A superb lunch is served during one of our stops. The 'Spirit of Malta' Captain Morgan's large sailing catamaran departs from Sliema at 10.00 a.m. You spend a relaxing day at sea cruising and sailing to the most scenic bays in Malta, Gozo and Comino. We do not have a fixed programme, we sail according to prevailing weather conditions. We stop for swimming/snorkelling (masks and snorkels are provided free), in different bays and visit the famous Blue lagoon in Comino (weather permitting).

At
approximately 10.00 a.m. you will board one of Captain Morgan's vessels
for an hour and a half Cruise around Malta's historical harbours. The
Grand Harbour and Marsamxett Harbour. At approximately 12.00 noon you
will be taken to a Four Star Hotel in Sliema, where you will be served a
delicious Three Course Meal with Wine. After lunch you will be
transferred once again to board Captain Morgan's Underwater Safari
Vessel for a sensational Underwater Safari . Afterwards you will be
driven to your accommodation.

We
leave Sliema ferries at 09.45 hrs and cruise Northwards. At around
11.00am we drop anchor at St Paul's Islands, where guests may enjoy a
swim and a morning snack. At around noon we weigh anchor and head
towards Comino's famous Blue lagoon, slowly cruises along the many
panoramic cliffs, inlets and caves. We arrive at Blue lagoon at about
13.00hrs, where one can swim or snorkel in the crystal waters or just
lay back and relax while the crew prepare an appetising buffet lunch. In
Comino, optional speedboat/luzzu tours of caves and inlets are available
at a small fee. At 15.00hrs we weigh anchor and head towards Mgarr,
Gozo's only deep water harbour; cruising leisurely around the harbour,
enjoying a total different perspective from the sea. On the journey back
to Sliema we sail by the picturesque hilltop village of Mellieha, St
Paul's Islands, the resort of Bugibba and rugged northern coast of
Malta.
Join
us on a Harbour Cruise and witness Malta's living past. Cruise around
the two natural harbours on either side of Valletta - Marsamxett Harbour
