Day 1 - Budapest – Eger
In
the morning we drive to Eger, to the baroque pearl of north-eastern Hungary (the
land of the famous Bull's Blood wine). In the afternoon follows the sightseeing
of the beautiful town, visiting the
Basilica, the famous fortress, the most northern Minaret of Europe and we stroll
in the centre of Eger. Dinner in a restaurant located at the famous wine growing
region, called “Szép
Asszony Völgye” is included Overnight in Eger.
Day 2 - Eger – Debrecen – Hajdúszoboszló
After buffet-breakfast in the hotel we visit the LYCEUM, one of the most
impressive buildings of the city. On he first floor of the building you'll find
the famous diocesan library. Several medieval
codices, manuscripts and the only Mozart-letter in Hungary can be found in the
collection. In the 53 m high tower of the building the Observatory Museum and
the "Specula" Periscope both are
unique. Afterwards we drive to Debrecen and visit the Great Calvinist Church of
the city. This church is the symbol of Debrecen. The predecessor of the church
was built in the 12th century but
later it was burned down. From Debrecen it is only 15 minutes drive to
Hajdúszoboszló. It is one of the most popular spa settlements in Hungary. Free
time in the afternoon, dinner in a local
restaurant. Overnight in Hajdúszoboszló
Day 3 – Hajdúszoboszló – Ópusztaszer – Szeged
After buffet breakfast in the hotel, we have time to visit the Aqua Park or spa
of Hajdúszoboszló. Early afternoon continue our trip to Szeged. On the way we
stop to visit the National Historical
Memorial Park. After the optional visit, we drive to Szeged. Dinner organized in
a typical Hungarian fish “Csarda”.

in Szeged.
Day 4 - Szeged - Baja - Mohács - Pécs
After breakfast in Szeged, we take a small sightseeing tour in the “City of
Light”, statues, and fountains. We visit the fourth largest church in Hungary,
the Serbian Orthodox Church, the
Synagogue and stroll in the Mediterranean atmosphere streets. After the pleasant
morning, we continue the tour to Pécs, the “Mediterranean City” which is the
part of the world heritage.
On our way we visit the historical memorial place in Mohács and then we drive to
Pécs. Overnight in Pécs.
Day 5 - Pécs- Keszthely – Héviz
After buffet breakfast in the hotel, we discover this beautiful 2000 year old
Mediterranean atmosphere town. We visit the crypts from the 3rd and 4th
centuries AD, which have been registered on
the UNESCO World Heritage list; the Basilica, the Bishop's Palace, the Djami of
Gázi Kászhim, the Minaret and also the world famous Zsolnay Porcelain Museum. We
drive to the region of
Lake Balaton. We reach the lake at its Southern edge at Balatonszentgyörgy. We
drive up to Keszthely, where we visit the most famous sights of the city, such
as Festetics Castle,
Georgikon and Library too. Early evening we reach Héviz, which is world famous
for its thermal water and lake. Dinner in a local restaurant, overnight in Héviz.
Day 6 – Héviz - Veszprém - Herend - Pannonhalma – Budapest
After breakfast we drive to Veszprém, which is among the oldest cities of the
country. After a short walk in the city we drive to the world's largest
porcelain manufactory, founded in Herend in
1826. After the guided tour through the manufactory, the guests are welcome for
coffee at the „Porcelanium". On the way to Budapest we stop at Pannonhalma Abbey
(also included on the
UNESCO World Heritage list), the "Most Ancient Hungarian House" a treasury of
past Hungarian architectural craft. Return to Budapest.
