A day tour in Dijon city

museum of Fine Arts.(closed on tuesdays). In the morning, possibility of
exploring the market, on tuesdays, fridays and saturdays. The other days,
excepted on saturday and sunday, possibility of a visit to a
blackcurrant distillery
A day tour in the Burgundy wineyards – Côte de Nuits :
Exploration” of the “Best wine road” (route des grands crus), Historical and
technical explainations of vineyard and wines – visit of the Château de Clos
– Vougeot – visit of a wine cellar and initiation to sensitive wine tasting –
Lunch in a local restaurant with gourmet food and great wine list. Explore the
picturesc sencery of the high coast of Nuits and visit a small farm where they
process currants and berries to make liquors, creams, and marmelades.
A day tour in the Burgundy wineyards – Côte de Beaune : visit of the
Hôtel Dieu in Beaune.
Explore the wine road. Visit a winery a winetaste. Experience a winetasting
lunch in the village of Puligny Montrachet, which produces wines reputated as
the finest dry white wines in the world.
Then discover the High coast of Beaune, the cliffs of Orches and visit Château
de la Rochepot or the wine museum.
*A day tour in the Auxois Hills : excursion in the country side of
Auxois
visit of the cistercian abbey of Fontenay built in the 12th century and
classified as world heritage by unesco. continuation towards the medieval
town of Semur en Auxois to have lunch and a walking tour of the medieval town.
In the afternoon, go to the “sacred Hill” and the romanesc basilica of Vézelay
.
* In the same area, north of Burgundy other possiblity : the Chablis
region, renown for its great white wines. Explore the vineyard visit a winery
in the morning and winetaste. Lunch in Chablis in a typical bistrot. Afternoon
to the “sacred Hill” and the romanesc basilica of Vézelay .
* A day tour in the Côte Chalonnaise : in the morning explore the
vineyard of that area. Visit a winery and winetaste. Lunch in a very tipical
little countryside auberge. Go on towards the impressive romanesc abbey church
of Tournus and then end with walking up to the little adorable medieval
village of Brancion.
