Bauer, 5* , Venice

Staircase
After
a complete reconstruction and refurbishment in 1999, the Bauer is now considered
by many to be THE most deluxe hotel in Venice. With the introduction of Il
Palazzo at the Bauer, the concept of a boutique hotel within a hotel was
introduced, and has garnered extensive and enthusiastic press coverage in the
USA. With its own entrance, registration and concierge facilities, Il Palazzo
validates the very elegant first impression it conveys. The Bauer is also the
only hotel in Venice to have a rooftop spa and fitness center. The hotel offers
60 suites and junior suites, 49 of which are located in Il Palazzo, including
four huge Presidential Suites and two enormous Royal Suites which face on the
Grand Canal. Many of the furnishings are antiques, and each suite and junior
suite has private fax machine, PC outlet, internet connection, CD player and
many of them have two bathrooms. Non-smoking, connecting accommodations,
terraces and balconies are available upon request. 24-hour room service is
available, and there is no room service fee for breakfast served in a guestroom.
For guests staying at Il Palazzo at the Bauer, facilities include an independent
dock for private taxi boats, a private cocktail lounge, separate reception desk
and concierge services, complimentary access to the fitness center and spa,
panoramic lounge and terrace, the "Settimo Cielo", for breakfast a la
carte (reservations required). The Bauer's outstanding restaurant has the
largest dining terrace in Venice opening directly onto the Grand Canal.
NOTE: SAN
MARCO is the stop when guests are taking the public vaporetto to the hotel from
the train station or airport; there is a private entrance at the hotel for water
taxis.
