Glitter Bay

A small, luxury hotel situated on one of the most beguiling of all Caribbean shorelines - the west coast of Barbados. It occupies 30 acre tropical estate nestled in a lush coconut grove overlooking the Caribbean and a ½ mile stretch of sandy beach. The resort is 12 miles from the airport and 8 miles from the capital city of Bridgetown. The hotel's reception building was formerly The Great House of Sir Edward Cunard of the famous shipping family.

Accommodations at Glitter Bay are in 83 elegant guest rooms, mostly one or two bedroom suites or penthouses overlooking the gardens, pools or the Caribbean. All bedrooms are air-conditioned, equipped with ceiling fans, cable TV, direct dial telephone, radio, fully stocked minibar, bathrobes, hairdryer and in-room safes. They are stylishly furnished with cool relaxing decor and private patios for entertaining or relaxing.

Piperade - A charming open-air restaurant in a beachside setting underneath towering palms and overlooking the Caribbean. Piperade serves both international and Caribbean fare. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

At Royal Pavilion (guests of Glitter Bay have full signing privileges) Palm Terrace - an exquisite dining room with a breathtaking view of the Caribbean serving both local dishes and international cuisine in a decor of dusty pink Italian marble, exotic plants, soaring arches, soft music and cooling ocean breezes. Dinner only.

Cafe Taboras - Located poolside, this casual, open-air bistro overlooks the turquoise Caribbean Sea and serves buffet breakfast and salads, pizzas and other Mediterranean specialities for lunch.

Afternoon Tea - Complimentary and served daily with scones, finger sandwiches and pastries.
