The Dominican Republic
Punta Cana Acitivites
Even from a helicopted overhead, it is
clear that Melia Tropical, which stretches across the turquoise waters of
Dominican Republic’s Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana, is a hotbed of activity. There
are daily sports and games programs, and an activities center with volleyball,
an amphitheater with a pool, and programs ranging from water aerobics to
theatrical performances. Children’s programs such as dancing and painting are
also offered.
In addition to all that is available at
the property, guests can choose from a diverse array of excursions at nearby
locales and through businesses affiliated with the resort that are sure to keep
excitement junkies on the go.
Palm trees pepper the grounds of the
all-inclusive Sol Melia property, and the landscape is laced by palm frond huts
and centered by a swimming pool. When guests are not busy with activities such
as golf and parasailing, they can enjoy Sol Melia Tropical’s restaurants, bars,
spa and meeting room.

swim with playful dolphins in 20-minute sessions, supervised by experienced
trainers. Shuttles run from Melia Tropical to Manati Park regularly. Admission

the course offers ocean views from 14 holes. The greens fee is $70 per person
and include a golf cart. For more information, call 888-442-2262.
